If you’ve visited Cheeseheads lately, you may have noticed something new happening in the restaurant. Customers leaving reviews, drawing prize cards, and helping us work toward our goal of 500 Google reviews.
But this isn’t just a promotion or a giveaway.
It’s really about something much bigger to us — listening to our customers and continuing to get better every single day.
The Power of a Simple Review
In today’s world, Google reviews are the modern version of word of mouth. Years ago, people asked a neighbor where to grab a good burger or pizza. Today, they pull out their phone and search “best food near me.”
Those reviews help people decide whether to walk through our doors for the first time. They help travelers discover us when they’re passing through Rice Lake. And they help us understand what we’re doing right, and where we can improve.
Every review, whether it’s glowing praise or constructive feedback, helps shape who we are as a restaurant.
And we truly read every single one.
A Menu Built on Variety — and a Commitment to Consistency
One thing that makes Cheeseheads unique is also one of our biggest challenges: our menu is incredibly diverse.
From smashburgers with dozens of flavor combinations, to homemade pizzas, loaded fries, Philly cheesesteaks, frybread specials, and more, we offer a lot of different options. We love creativity and giving customers choices, but with that variety comes a responsibility.
We strive for consistency in every meal we serve.
We want your favorite burger to taste the same the tenth time you order it as it did the first time. We want your pizza to come out hot, fresh, and exactly how you remember it. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to every day.
But we’re also human.
With a busy kitchen, fresh ingredients, and a menu that covers a wide range of items, there are times when we fall short. When that happens, we take it seriously. Our goal has always been simple: if something isn’t right, we will do everything we can to make it right.
Your feedback helps us close those gaps and improve.
Why We Created the Review Rewards Program
We wanted a fun way to thank customers for taking the time to share their experiences while also building a stronger connection with our community.
That’s why we launched our Cheeseheads Review Rewards and our Road to 500 Reviews challenge.
When customers leave an honest Google review, they get to draw a prize from our reward bowl. Some prizes are small treats, others are meals, and a few lucky guests may even win big surprises like pizza parties or free burgers for a month.
It’s our way of saying thank you for helping a local business grow.
And if you include a photo of your meal with your review, you get to draw twice... because seeing real customer photos helps others discover what we’re all about.

Building Something Together
What excites us most about this campaign isn’t just reaching a number on Google. It’s watching our customers become part of the journey.
As we hit review milestones, we’ll celebrate together:
200 Reviews — Free Fries Day
300 Reviews — Free Lemonade Day
400 Reviews — Half-Price Burger Day
500 Reviews — Customer Appreciation Party
These celebrations aren’t just promotions. They’re a thank you to the people who continue to support local restaurants and help us grow.
Our Promise to You
At the end of the day, reviews matter because people matter.
Behind every order is someone trusting us with their lunch break, their family dinner, or a night out with friends. We don’t take that lightly.
Our promise is to keep improving, keep listening, and keep working toward serving every customer a delicious, high-quality meal, every single time they visit.
And when we miss the mark, we’ll learn from it and do better the next time.
Thank you for supporting Cheeseheads, for sharing your experiences, and for helping us continue building something special here in Rice Lake.
We truly appreciate you.
